In a bizarre collaboration that defies traditional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Uncovered

According to the authorized release, "A mysterious confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where whispers of prohibited rituals and monstrous transformations resonate through the shadows." The narrative presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret group.

The adventure centers on "bizarre trials and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses

The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Additional Material

Players who finish the mission will obtain an exclusive katana together with several objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

• Titan-themed outfit for Yasuke
• Mikasa attire for Naoe
• Unique arms
• Survey Corps mount

Third Free Story Update

This patch also introduces the game's newest complimentary story episode, titled "The Enigma."
